What you get
- Your cohort's discount. Each early-access cohort carries its own discount off the standard $2/mo, $10/yr, or $20 lifetime pricing. The current public deal is 50% off for the first 3,000 users with . Your invite (or the cohort announcement) states what your code is worth; the checkout shows the exact discounted price before you pay.
- The same product as full price. No feature gates, no "beta tier" missing pieces. You get the same Evoglyph that ships at standard pricing: local-only voice-to-text, on-device AI cleanup, and text injection across every Mac app.
- Founder access if you stay through launch. Early-cohort testers who redeem and remain active become Evoglyph Founders. We will email you a separate Founders license carrying a permanent perk before any future pricing change can affect you. See Founders status below.
How to redeem
- For the public beta deal, do nothing. Click any Get Evoglyph button on evoglyph.com, or pick your plan in the pricing section (monthly, yearly, or lifetime). Checkout applies for you automatically, so the Stripe page opens with 50% already off.
-
Have a personal invite or cohort code? (For example, the alpha 100%-off
lifetime code.) Your invite email contains a personal checkout link (it looks like
evoglyph.com/api/checkout?tier=lifetime&code=YOURCODE) that applies your code automatically. Just click it; there is nothing to type. - Check the discount is showing before you submit payment. If it is not (the code may have expired or hit its redemption cap), checkout falls back to standard pricing with a manual Add promotion code box where you can type a code. See If the code didn't apply.
- Complete checkout. A credit card is required at this step. If the discount is 100% off, no charge is placed for the promo period; otherwise the discounted amount is billed normally.
- You'll receive a license key by email. This is the email you'll need to paste into Evoglyph. Keep it.
- Open Evoglyph, go to the Account tab, click Enter your license key, paste the key, and click Activate. You'll see a "You're unlocked" confirmation and the trial meter disappears; dictation is unlimited from that moment.
If the code didn't apply
Run through these in order. The first three cover the overwhelming majority of failed redemptions.
- Code mistyped (manual box only). Codes are applied automatically by the pricing buttons and by personal checkout links, so typos only happen when you type into the fallback Add promotion code box. Copy the code directly from your invite or the cohort announcement rather than retyping; codes contain no spaces.
- Code not yet active. Cohort codes activate at the announced start time. If you grabbed the code from a screenshot or pre-share before that time, Stripe will not recognize it yet. Wait until the announced time and try again.
- Code expired or cohort cap reached. Cohort codes can carry a redemption cap or an end date (both are stated with the cohort announcement). Once either is hit, the code stops applying for new checkouts and the standard $2/mo, $10/yr, $20 lifetime pricing applies, and checkout shows the manual Add promotion code box instead of a pre-applied discount.
- Checkout error. If the Stripe checkout page itself errors out (network issue, card decline, bank verification step), close the tab and start checkout fresh from the same button or link; the discount applies again automatically.
- Still stuck? Email [email protected] with a screenshot of the checkout page and we'll sort it out.
Cohort windows and keeping your rate
Each cohort's redemption window (start, end, and any redemption cap) is stated with its announcement or invite. After a cohort window closes, pricing returns to standard for new customers.
If you redeem inside your window, your discounted rate stays with your license:
- Subscriptions renew at your discounted rate for as long as you keep the subscription continuously active.
- Lifetime licenses are a one-time discounted payment, with no expiry, for the foreseeable life of the product.
If you let a subscription lapse and resubscribe after your cohort's window has closed, the new subscription is billed at standard pricing. The cohort rate is tied to your continuously active license, not to your account.
Plan-switch note: if you start on a discounted monthly and want to upgrade to yearly or lifetime later, contact [email protected]; we'll honor your cohort tier on the new plan as long as your original license has been continuously active.
Founders status
Early-cohort testers who redeem and remain active are Evoglyph Founders. Before any future pricing change ever affects you, we will email a separate Founders license tied to your account. The Founders license carries a permanent perk that travels with you across plan changes; it is the explicit grandfathering mechanism for early testers.
You don't need to do anything to claim Founders status. If you redeemed during an early cohort and your license is still active, you're in. The Founders email goes out before any pricing change is publicly announced, so you have time to react if you want to.
