- Command Mode (shipped): add Ctrl to the dictation gesture and speak, to rewrite the text you selected, write new text at your cursor, or run one of twelve built-in actions (open, quit, or switch apps; volume; media; dark mode; web links; System Settings panes; your own Shortcuts; or take back your last dictation). The catalog is a fixed built-in set, not one you author. On by default. See Command Mode (Evoglyph#2561).
- End-to-end pipeline latency: cutting the time between speaking and seeing text so dictation feels closer to real time. The P0 performance pass across the capture-to-injection pipeline (Evoglyph#2373).
Next (planned)
Items planned for the near term, each with an active tracking issue.
- Error sound for failed or silent dictation: an alert sound (or silence) when a dictation attempt fails or returns nothing; sound picker and toggle in Settings (Evoglyph#2603).
- Cross-talk rejection in normal mode: when someone nearby speaks loudly, Evoglyph rejects their voice and transcribes only yours. Extends the voice isolation already in voice-profile mode (Evoglyph#2333).
- Tone profiles for cleanup: choose a cleanup style (Polished, Concise, or Natural) globally or per app, with an editable tonal prompt section for fine-grained control (Evoglyph#2559).
- Cleanup intensity control: a Low/Medium/High selector in the Cleanup section for lighter or heavier AI editing (Evoglyph#2518).
- Custom text snippets via voice: define a spoken phrase that expands to a saved text block, generalizing the personal-values insert already in the app (Evoglyph#1516).
- Per-app cleanup prompts: different AI cleanup behavior per target app or mode (Evoglyph#1153).
Later (investigation)
Items under investigation. They are not committed and may not ship.
- Multi-language support: the underlying speech engine has a 25-European-language variant, but Evoglyph’s full pipeline (transcription and AI cleanup) is validated on English only. Non-English support requires end-to-end validation before we claim it (Evoglyph#1789).
- Grammatical-correction mode: a toggle in the cleanup layer to apply or suppress grammatical corrections (Evoglyph#1774).
- Faster pasteboard injection: cutting the pasteboard-restore ceiling from 700 ms to 300–500 ms for apps that use the pasteboard path (Evoglyph#1780).
